DISPATCH DOWN ANALYSIS
Curtailment occurs when renewable generation is constrained down to maintain system-wide security.
CURTAILMENT
Curtailment occurs when renewable generation is constrained down to maintain system-wide security. Curtailment is likely to occur at times of high wind generation relative to demand levels.
It should be noted that curtailment is generally a system wide issue, and a constraint is a local issue – both resulting in dispatch down of energy from the asset.
REDUCING LOSSES
We’ll reduce your dispatch down losses. We look after more controllable renewable assets than anyone else in Ireland. We analyse data from different sources, our internal analytics team analysis has resulted in removing 4.6% un-necessary curtailment for an asset owner.
MIGRATING
We are now migrating that process and experience in Ireland to the UK where dispatch down of renewable assets events is increasing.
