EnergyPro Nominated for Three Wind Investment Awards 2025

Wind Investment Awards 2025

EnergyPro is proud to announce that it has been nominated for three categories at the prestigious Wind Investment Awards 2025, hosted by Tamarindo, which recognises excellence in the global wind industry.

We have been shortlisted for:

  • Asset Manager of the Year – Highlighting EnergyPro’s impact in optimising wind farm performance.

  • Technical Innovation Award – Honouring Juan Albarracín for leading the development of WindWise, a machine-learning-powered system to improve turbine performance monitoring.

  • Rising Star of the Year – Celebrating Kyro Keown’s exceptional contributions to sustainability and renewable energy.

These nominations reflect EnergyPro’s leadership in optimising renewable energy assets, pioneering technological advancements, and fostering top talent within the wind industry.

Excellence in Asset Management

EnergyPro’s nomination for Asset Manager of the Year recognises our dedication to increasing the value and efficiency of operational wind farms.

By working closely with OEMs to rebuild trust and collaborate on improving service delivery, identifying innovative performance improvements with academic researchers, and implementing best-in-class safety management systems, EnergyPro has continuously turned underperforming projects into success stories. The company’s focus on safety, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction has helped secure 100% customer retention since its inception in 1997.

Over the past year, the team has transformed one of the poorest-performing wind portfolios into the best-performing within its owner’s fleet and elevated ESG performance, increasing the GRESB ESG rating to 92%, placing it among the top two portfolios assessed in Northern Europe.

Pioneering Technical Innovation with WindWise

Juan Albarracín’s nomination for the Technical Innovation Award recognises the development of WindWise, a machine-learning-powered system designed to improve wind farm operations.

WindWise autonomously analyses SCADA data, filtering out noise and raising alerts only when necessary, minimising manual analysis and preventing overlooked issues. In addition to detecting underperformance, WindWise provides insights into the root causes and suggests necessary actions, helping asset managers optimise turbine efficiency.

Recognising Emerging Talent

Kyro’s nomination for Rising Star celebrates her dedication to renewable energy and wind industry innovation. With six years of experience, Kyro has already made a significant impact through her work on turbine performance and energy efficiency. She has worked on improving turbine performance and energy efficiency, developing a machine-learning tool to diagnose underperformance and help turbine owners address issues quickly. Kyro’s passion for renewable energy and sustainability drives her work, and her expertise in turbine performance has been recognised by both peers and customers.

“Our team’s dedication to excellence, innovation, and sustainability has been recognised across multiple categories at the Wind Investment Awards. One of our core values is that we develop and grow, and it’s great to have this recognised at the awards. Massive congratulations to the entire team, and thanks to our customers who continue to put their trust in us to manage their assets safely and to use our expertise to maximise their renewable energy production,” said Ronan O’Meara, Managing Director at EnergyPro.

The Wind Investment Awards are a key event in the industry, recognising the individuals and organisations that have demonstrated exceptional leadership and innovation.

The Wind Investment Awards 2025 will be held in London on 22nd May, directly following Tamarindo’s Financing Energy Transition conference.
